Holy Trinity Church

Located in the centre of Craiova, the Holy Trinity Church stands out in the Prefecture Square due to the perfect antagonism between the architecture of the church and the “art nouveau” style of the park. It was built (between 1765 – 1768) in Brancoveanu style, considered the first Romanian style, which can still be seen today, although it was rebuilt several times after the earthquake in 1838, according to the plans of the French architect Andre Lecomte de Nouy.
